Sections

The scientific and artistic activity of Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts is carried out in 6 sections:

• Section I – Historical and Social Sciences,
• Section II – Philological and Literary Studies,
• Section III – Mathematical, Physical, Chemical and Technical Sciences,
• Section IV – Natural Sciences,
• Section V – Arts,
• Section VI – Medical Sciences.

SASA Sections perform the fundamental SASA tasks and have been formed to cover one or more fields of sciences and arts: they deal with fundamental issues of relevant scientific or artistic disciplines, give proposals and opinions on the State and development of science or art programmes, organize discussions, consultations, lectures and exhibitions, oversee printing etc.
